What makes Caribbean Beach special?
Relaxation
Caribbean Beach Resort has a great relaxing beach atmosphere. There are five island themed villages that surround the outside of Barefoot Bay. And what do you do on Barefoot Bay? You go barefoot, of course. Florida sunshine, palm trees, hammocks, sand – I never want to leave. I feel like I have been whisked away to a tropical island!
Pools
Carribean Beach’s Fuentes del Morro zero-entry pool boasts two waterslides, a hot tub, and a pirate themed splash area. If this seems like too much fun for you, there are quiet pools located in each of the 5 Caribbean villages. These are perfect for relaxing and soaking in the sun.
Pirates
Yo ho ho! This is the place for pirate adventures! Not only does the pool’s theming include pirates, but you can stay in a pirate themed room! After your restful night’s sleep, embark on one of Disney’s Pirate Adventure Cruises (available for kids 4-12, extra fee), that leave right from Barefoot Bay. Continue on to Pirates League at Magic Kingdom to get a pirate makeover, ride Pirates of the Caribbean, and play Treasures of the Seven Seas. Adults and kids of all ages are sure to have a swashbuckling good time!
Marina
The Marina at Caribbean Beach is a hub for many activities that the resort has to offer. Bicycle and surrey rentals, fishing excursions, and boat rides around the bay are great ways to take in the beauty of the resort.
Dining
There is no shortage of dining options around the resort. Sebastian’s Bistro is a relaxing Caribbean restaurant featuring all kinds of tropical flavors. The food is amazing!! Spyglass Grill and Centertown Market have lots of great counter serve options. Even picky eaters will find something they like. If you just want to grab your meal and go, Centertown Market has a grab and go selection of sandwiches, drinks, and sweet treats. Don’t forget, all grown up pirates need some rum! Banana Cabana has you covered in their walk up bar right next to the pool.
Transportation
Caribbean Beach Resort is the only moderate resort that will be carrying guests to and from the parks in Disney’s brand new Skyliner gondolas! The lines for Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Art of Animation/Pop Century will all meet up here, making Caribbean Beach the central hub. That means, you will not have any need to transfer lines like you will at other resorts. That’s super convenient!
Caribbean Beach is centrally located to all of Disney’s parks, so taking Disney’s busses to get you where you want to go won’t take long at all. There are covered bus stops located in each of the 5 villages around the resort, and they are just a short walk from your room.

Staying at a Disney Resort allows you to book all those coveted fastpasses at 60 days out. Overall, this resort is a great option for families and can accomodate 5 and sometimes 6 guests! Like all of Disney’s resorts, Caribbean Beach does not disappoint when it comes to Disney Magic. Disney’s cast members are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure that you have the most magical stay.
