Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice!

On my most recent trip to Walt Disney World, I tried a few of the pumpkin spice offerings throughout property. I admit, I am pretty #basic and I do love most things pumpkin spice. Here is a roundup and review of what I tasted.

Pumpkin Macaron

Pumpkin Macaron from Amorette’s Patisserie

On this trip, I literally landed and made my way straight from the airport to Disney Springs. I had to get a Disney Fix even though it was 10:30 at night. One of my first stops was Amorette’s Patisserie to try their Pumpkin Macaron. It is a white chocolate ganache flavored macaron with pumpkin puree and pumpkin spices. It is adorably decorated with chocolate ears and a bow. The macaron had good pumpkin flavor, not to strong but you could definitely taste it. The macaron was the right amount of chewy and the filling was really good. I would recommend this treat if you find yourself in Disney Springs but I wouldn’t make a special trip out there for it.

Joffrey’s Pumpkin Pie Latte (iced)

Pumpkin Pie Latte from Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company

This whole pumpkin spice trend started with the famous PSL from Starbucks. Joffrey’s Pumpkin Pie Latte is NOT the same. I hate to admit how much I love a PSL every now and then but I could not finish the Pumpkin Pie Latte from Joffrey’s. I purchased it at the Joffrey’s stand at the Transportation & Ticket Center and threw it away by the time I reached the Magic Kingdom monorail station. The latte was sickeningly sweet and the cinnamon flavor was too strong for me. I would not recommend this drink to anyone.

Pumpkin Spice Beignets

Pumpkin Spice Beignets from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory

Y’all, I have saved the best for last! I am from New Orleans so I have had my fair share of beignets (pronounced been-yay for those who are unfamiliar). I was leery to try these beignets but I made a trip out to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter just to try these and report back (I have a tough job, I know). These beignets were soooooo good. They are fried fresh to order at the Sassagoula Floatowrks and Food Factory. The genius in them is that the pumpkin spice is added to the powdered sugar, not the dough that is fried. This lets you control how much pumpkin spice you get. I personally love ALL. THE. SUGAR. I highly recommend these. I would even recommend going out of your way to get them. And, if you are staying at Port Orleans – French Quarter and don’t try these, you are doing a disservice to yourself and Princess Tiana, and nobody wants to disappoint Princess Tiana!

  • Where to find it – Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
  • Price – 3 for $4.49 or 6 for $6.99
  • AP Discount – not available.

These are all available for a limited time only so make sure to check them out while you still can!
