Club Med Sandpiper Bay Dining

All-Inclusive Dining

I’m sure you’re wondering what is included for meals at Club Med Sandpiper Bay. If you’ve ever taken a cruise, then you are already somewhat familiar with how dining at Club Med works. There are restaurants and bars that guests have unlimited access to included with their stay. Then there are food and drink options that can be purchased for a small fee. Club Med does make it very clear what will cost extra, so there’s no need to worry about ordering something and having a gigantic bill at the end of your stay.

Breakfast

Breakfast was the same each day of our stay. There was a create your own omelet bar, a full bar of pastry options, oatmeal, grits, bacon, eggs cooked to order, pancakes, bacon, french toast, did I mention bacon? Yeah, there was bacon lol! There is a fridge filled with different types of yogurt and boxes of milk. There’s a coffee machine that pumps out espresso, cappuccino, whipped coffee, or regular brewed coffee. The bar next to the pool also has an espresso machine where they can also make you a specialty coffee beverage all day long. Breakfast is served until 10 a.m., but if you decide to sleep in no worries! The Soleil window begins serving a late breakfast at 10:30 a.m.

Lunch and Dinner

Lunch and dinner were definitely the main events! Lunch is a more relaxed atmosphere with seat yourself dining like breakfast. Dinner takes things up a notch with a GO seating guests as they enter the restaurant. Cold pitchers of ice water and stemware are on tables awaiting guests for each meal. After our third day, we realized that the meals for lunch and dinner followed a theme. One day was more Italian, another day was more Mexican, and one day was predominantly French. Even with the themes, there was something for even the pickiest eater (aka – me). The dining options are such a wide variety that anyone will be able to find something they will love. For those with a more adventurous palate, they will LOVE getting to try new foods without worry. Guests can get as many servings as they would like – so if you want five bowls of that amazing crab and shrimp bisque then go for it! During our visit, The Marketplace was the only open restaurant, but in more “normal” times, there is a separate high-end restaurant that guests can reserve for an additional cost.

Dessert

Yes, I am giving desserts their own section. For lunch and dinner the dessert bar is open along with the Gelato bar. I could have honestly made meals out of the desserts each and every day. The desserts always matched the theme of the day and they were all just as good as they look. Just like with the entrees, the desserts are all you care to enjoy – and enjoy we did! My only complaint was that in the mid-afternoon when the sun was really hitting us hard, I would have loved the option to have some ice cream or gelato. Unfortunately, that isn’t an option so I had to make due with frozen beverages.

Beverages

Alcoholic beverages are included at Club Med. I’ll repeat that. All you can drink alcoholic beverages are included in the rate that you pay for Club Med. There are three bars on the property where adults are able to order the alcoholic beverage of choice as often as you would like. The bars are also where all drinks can be ordered during the day. They have water, soda, juice, specialty coffee, and slushies. The bartenders are very well versed in beverage creation and there were many times when I went up and asked for something fruity or something light and fresh and they delivered.
